The Different Ways To See The Sights Of Egypt Filed under:

Egypt is an absolutely lovely place to visit with many splendid things to see. But to get the best out of seeing Egypt you really need to go on one of the many different Nile cruises that are now available. There are cruises to fit into everybody’s budget plan so it is no longer just for the rich and well to do people.
So what are the benefits to a Nile cruise and why should anybody go on one of these cruises? Well there are quite a few benefits as I will explain.
Firstly you could trace the footsteps of Cleopatra and many of the great pharaohs that used to cruise the Nile when they were alive. Then there is always the fact that a cruise on the Nile gives you a much better perspective of how beautiful Egypt really is.
Taking the cruises is certainly a more convenient and of course more comfortable way to ravel around Egypt than having to sit in a hot tour bus all day long.
These tour buses will also have to stop regularly which can make the day a very long one. When you are cruising you are still relaxing while enjoying the wonderful scenery all around you.
While on the cruise you can decide what course of action you want to take. Do you decide to visit the many ports that you stop in and discover even more of this delightful land, or do you remain on the ship and make use of all it has got to offer you.
The atmosphere is always a friendly buzzing occasion on board the cruise ships due to the fact that they are smaller than their ocean bound counterparts.
Even though these cruise ships are smaller they are still filled with many amenities to make your stay on this cruise a very enjoyable occasion.

London is a city that never seems to sleep. No matter the time of day or night, all of life’s experiences can be had somewhere in the city and it has been this way since it was founded. It would be nearly impossible to fully take in all that the city has to offer in one quick trip, but with a few days’ time you can soak in several sides of this historic city.
In fact, the history of London is a good place to start. The city’s history is rooted in everything from medieval times gone by to the crown jewels of the monarchy. It does not matter if you are a history buff or if you have not opened a book since elementary school social studies. London’s rich, full history is sure to interest everyone. A trip to London is not complete without a trip to the world-famous Madame Tussauds wax museum to visit the almost unsettlingly lifelike wax denizens inside. Be also sure to enter the London Dungeon to encounter the terrible dark side of the city. You will be able to see and learn about a side of London that few outside of the UK know about.
The Tower of London is home to the crown jewels, and has been the scene for countless mysterious and fantastic tales. Bringing together art and history, you can see portraits of Britain’s most famous people throughout the centuries at the National Portrait Gallery. Then there is the British Museum, which houses one of the best archaeological collections of artifacts that you will find anywhere in the world. There are numerous small museums and art galleries sprinkled around the city center too, so be sure to leave some time spare in your schedule as you will undoubtedly come across some places that you will not be able to resist popping into.
Oxford Street is the ideal place for the experienced shopper. If shopping is too strenuous, Hyde Park is found nearby to bring the peace and quiet of the country right into the city. Portobello Market is one of many outdoor markets and is located northeast of the park. Nestled inside all of the hustle and bustle are quiet, charming side streets full of London’s past. Here you can find gems such as Covent Gardens. For a bird’s eye view of all that the city center has to offer, you can head over to the London eye. From above, you can see an overview of the wonders of the city.
As day turns to night, it is time to catch up with some friends at the local pub. You are sure to find at least one beer on tap that will hit the spot. Once your thirst is slaked and you are properly hydrated, it is time to dance. An international city like London is brimming with clubs filled with all kinds of dancing; everything from techno, to trance, to hip hop can be found. You are sure to find a rave and some Latin and ethnic dancing too. You can also attend a rugby or football contest if one of London’s countless teams is playing.

Blackpool is a seaside town in Lancashire UK which rose to prominence during the 19th Century, and is believed to be named after a drainage channel which ran over a peat bog. The growth of the Blackpool exploded when the branch line railway was extended from Poulton-Le-Fylde which was on the Preston to Fleetwood line. This sudden influx of visitors arriving by train caused a many building projects to be started to build hotels and holiday homes, which in turn attracted more visitors.
Gas lighting was introduced in 1852 and piped water was available to homes, hotels, and guesthouses in 1864.
Blackpool has three piers, the first to be completed was North Pier in 1863 and became a centre of attraction for elite visitors. When Central Pier was completed 5 years later it boasted an open air dance floor and a theatre. South Pier was not completed until 1893 as the town expanded south along what is now known as the Golden Mile. Blackpool was the only town in United Kingdom to have three piers.
Blackpool Opera House is a part of the Winter Gardens Complex, and opened in 1889 some ten years after the Winter Gardens which opened in 1878. When it opened the Blackpool Opera House was the largest opera house outside of London.
Blackpool’s innovative use of electricity in the 1870’s was to have a dramatic effect on the town. In 1879 Blackpool was the first place in the world to have electric street lighting, which lined the promenade. The lighting and pageants propelled Blackpool’s status as the North’s Number one holiday resort for both the working class and the elite. This electric lighting was the start of what is now known as the Blackpool Illuminations.
One of the worlds first Electric Tramways was opened in 1885 on Blackpool Promenade running from Cocker Street to Dean Street. The Tramway was run by Blackpool Electric Tramway Company until 1892 when their license expired and Blackpool Corporation took over in 1892. The line was extended to South Shore in 1895 and to the north to Gynn Square in 1899. The Tramway Service is still in operation and runs from Fleetwood in the north to Squires Gate in the south
In the heyday of the 1950’s Blackpool would attract millions of with the majority staying for a week at a time. The estimated figure in 1992 was 17 million visitors; however the pattern had changed to weekends, and day trips rather than the traditional week long break. The annual visitors have dropped severely to about 10 million per year; however; the council are investing heavily in regenerating Blackpool to preserve the future of this seaside town.
In 1894 there were two important buildings opened to the public, the Grand Theatre and Blackpool Tower. By this time it was estimated that Blackpool had approximately three million visitors a year and a population of around 35000.

Kuala Lumpur is a fast-paced city which blends the east and west making it a perfect start point to further explore Asia. There is so much to do and see in the city and our Kuala Lumpur travel guide can get you started.
The city centre KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre) is close to many major attractions and shopping centres. The city is an international shopping destination that is home to over 1.6 million people in the centre alone. You have many options in terms of accommodation from budget options such as Couchsurfing and hostels to five star resorts - which are some of the cheapest five star hotels in the world.
Our full Kuala Lumpur guide has more specific information on food to try. Briefly though, the city has a mix of all the major Asian cuisines alongside American fast-food chains and coffee shops. Eating out in KL is one of the best things to do in the city if you’re on a budget (or if you aren’t) as it is often cheaper than making the food yourself. The Jalan Alor district is full of restaurants with reasonable prices, alcohol however is quite expensive everywhere you go due to high taxation.
The ITP Kuala Lumpur guide suggests a few top attractions including the Petronas Towers, The Golden Triangle as well as Chinatown and Little India for a more touristy yet ethnic experience. To get away from the tourist markets head over to Chow Kit for local food markets or visit the Central Markets to escape the heat.
Every year during January or February each year, millions come to watch Hindu devotees perform Kavadi Attam from the city centre to the Batu Cave which are Located an hour or so out of the city. Kavadi Attam is a dance performed in honor of the God of War which involves the physical burden of carrying the Kavadi and usually involves some form of spikes or hooks penetrating the skin.

Las Vegas Travel Guide Filed under:

Las Vegas has a rich and storied criminal history. Too often new visitors find themselves on the wrong side of the law as well. Everyone from celebrities to convention attendees find themselves making calls to a Las Vegas bail bondsman rather than having a fun filled vacation. So we’ve outlined some invaluable advice of what not to do in Las Vegas for your next vacation.
Las Vegas has plenty of things to do for fun and just as many things that will get you into trouble. Many people mistakenly feel they can do things in Las Vegas that they wouldn’t even come close to considering in their home town.
Drinking while driving is an absolute no-no in Las Vegas. There really isn’t a need, since you can walk, take a taxi, pedicab or monorail just about anywhere you need to go. The penalties for driving while intoxicated are stiff, but the alternatives are easy.
Everyone knows that the casinos have the advantage in gambling. Although cheating carries stiff legal repercussions, some people try to cheat the casinos to increase their odds. The gaming industry is protected by law enforcement and casino operators as the goose that laid the golden egg. Try scamming a casino and you will certainly find out how much Nevada values their economic engine.
Las Vegas visitors often enjoy the free flowing libations of Sin City. Most people can control themselves and not become nuisance. However, the hospitality industry and Las Vegas area law enforcement do remain watchful for those that can’t. Just because the drinks are free in Las Vegas casinos doesn’t mean that public drunkenness is tolerated.
Las Vegas is filled with flyers and advertisements promoting nude women and sexy encounters. However, prostitution is not legal in the Las Vegas area. While there are numerous gentlemen’s clubs, legal prostitution only occurs at licensed establishments outside of Clark County.
Many people feel free of inhibitions when visiting Las Vegas. Unfortunately for the many visitors that believe drugs are acceptable and partake while visiting Nevada, the state’s drug laws are not lenient. Compared to other states, Nevada has little tolerance for drug use and drug related offenses.
While it may seem like Las Vegas is the land of anything goes, it isn’t. Las Vegas can be a fantastic place to enjoy your next vacation, but just don’t forget to bring your common sense. That is usually the most important thing to keep someone out of trouble.

Places In America Where People Like To Go Mountain Biking Filed under:

Looking for a way to unwind while exploring new parts of the country? Try a mountain biking tour. Many companies offer mountain biking tours, complete with scenic routes and accommodations. Couples looking for a way to explore the country together will get a lot of out these tours.
From major mountain trails to lesser known trails with hills and rough terrain, mountain bikers will find great adventure in biking trails in each and every region in America.
The Pacific Northwest, Southwest, and Southeast states provide some of the best mountain biking areas. Try a trip to North Carolina and see what you find!
The Southwest region is gaining in popularity, which offers a variation in scenery from the well-known trails of the American West region.
If you are going to be in the Southwest, be sure to check out the South Boundary Trail of New Mexico, the Flume Trail of Nevada, and the Piney Canyon Road in Arizona.
Each of these trails is at least 20 miles long and has a reputation for being a challenging ride. Piney Canyon is the longest. It has over 50 miles of exciting terrain. But don’t worry, you don’t have to ride the entire trail.
Wondering where to start? If you can get to the Pacific Northwest, try three of my own favorites. I’ve had wonderful excursions at the Surveyor’s Ridge in Oregon, the Methow Trail System in Washington, and the Mount Tamalpais in California.
Athletic people will really enjoy mountain biking vacations. You can explore regions at your own pace, and these vacations are usually less expensive than other types of trips. You’ll feel a sense of pride as you complete a trail (even if you choose not to complete the whole trail), and will get the adventure of a lifetime. What a great way for a couple to explore America! Not in a serious relationship right now? No problem - gather a group of your single friends and make it an adventurous group excursion. Imagine the memories you’ll create!
